When are the initial weigh ins and final weigh outs? Weigh ins are scheduled the week of January 17, 2022. BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Book your appointment below. Final weigh out dates and times will be announced closer to the end of the challenge.
Are weigh-ins in-person or virtual? Weigh ins will be conducted virtually (by video). Once you book your appointment you will receive instructions on how to start your video chat with our fitness professional who will witness your weight measurement.
How do I prepare for the virtual weigh in?
1) You must have a scale to measure your body weight.
2) Place it on a hard floor surface not carpet.
3) Test your scale for to ensure it works.
4) Please wear light clothing and be prepared to remove your shoes when it is time to take your weight.
5) Start your video call from your phone or tablet or ipad so you can easily point the camera to the scale allowing our fitness professional to view your weight.
Are weigh ins weekly? Unfortunately not. However, we will leave a scale onsite and encourage you to weigh yourself every Wednesday Weigh in Wednesdays.
How often should I weigh myself? Once a week is good. In fact, Weigh in Wednesdays (self-reported) will start the second week of the challenge. After each weigh in we strongly encourage you to enter your weight into our app.
How long does the initial weigh in take? Approximately 10 minutes. During this time you will measure your weight; we will answer any questions you have about the challenge, and book your free nutrition counseling session.
How will I track my weight? You will be able to track your weight using our mobile app.
When will we have access to Health Fitness connections HFC mobile app +? We will send you an invitation to download our app on the first day of the challenge.
Will my others be able to see my weight? Absolutely not. Your weight will only be seen by you and our staff supporting the challenge.
Is there a leaderboard? Yes. Each week we will post the leaderboard within our app. The leaderboard will only display your change in weight based on what you enter into our app or we take during weigh ins.
What other features are on the HFC mobile app +? In addition to tracking your body weight you can also track body fat and various other body circumferences; watch some of our on-demand videos, and connect with co-workers through the group messaging board.
What exactly is small group fitness training and how is it different than a group fitness class? Small group fitness training is generally comprised 5-12 people and the fitness professional who is facilitating the training session is coaching the group through the exercises and routine rather than performing all the exercises. This offers the fitness professional the opportunity to help participants with form, technique and performance.
How do I sign up/reserve my spot in one of your small group fitness training sessions? We will email/message a sign up link to everyone participating in the challenge towards the end of January or beginning of February. You will also find more details about the training sessions (i.e intensity) in that communication.
